Green & Black’s, a renowned UK chocolate brand, faced challenges gaining traction in the competitive U.S. market. Mondelez engaged The Gild to revitalize the brand’s presence, balancing its heritage with a more premium, modern appeal.
Explored a strategic brand refresh, leveraging Green & Black’s signature color-driven identity to reinforce its premium, high-quality ingredients, ethical sourcing, and artisanal craftsmanship.
Reimagined the wordmark and monogram for a contemporary yet timeless aesthetic.
Developed a cohesive packaging system using organic shapes, vibrant color palettes, and watercolor textures to enhance brand storytelling.
Elevated premium cues through refined typography and copper foil detailing.
While this direction was not fully implemented, key elements influenced future limited-edition packaging, reinforcing Green & Black’s identity in a competitive market.
